Tairawhiti's Genuine Rugby League Pathway

The Tairāwhiti Sharks are a new rugby league team created to open genuine development pathways for young people and young adults across the East Coast. In partnership with the One NZ Warriors, we’re building opportunities that lead toward professional rugby league futures.

We deliver a full-age rugby league development pathway for the East Coast, offering coaching, skills programmes, and competitive opportunities for tamariki, rangatahi, and adults—all aligned with professional standards to help local talent progress.

We have our first Sharks trial for boys scheduled for February 2026 in Gisborne. Representatives from the One NZ Warriors will be in attendance.

If you are between the ages of 15-18 or are a parent / caregiver of a teen in this age range, and would like to register someone, please sign up below and we will give you more information before the date.
